Congrats to the @geelonggrammar sailors on placing Congrats to the @geelonggrammar sailors on placing 🥇🥈&🥉at last week's annual Girlsail event at Davey's Bay. 

GirlSail is a schools team sailing event organised each year by Toorak College in conjunction with Davey's Bay Yacht Club. Over 100 girls from all over Victoria competed in Pacer dinghies to take home the trophy for their school last Friday, 26 February.

The qualifying heats were run as a round robin series in the morning, after which teams were selected into Gold Fleet and Silver Fleet.

The finals were run in the afternoon and after three races the GGS sailors in Division 2 which is divided into Gold and Silver and the girls won 2nd and 3rd in Gold and for Silver they came 1st!! 

The Schools Trophy won by Padua College is based on the best two teams' results from each school. Competition involves many school teams including girls in the Victorian Sailing Team and Australian Youth Teams.
 
Their efforts and perseverance paid off in medalling one their Division.

It promised to be another exciting & action packed day of #APS Primary Tennis and it didn’t disappoint.
 
Congrats to all who represented their Schools on the day!!
 
Good luck to John Asimenias (SKC) and Oliver Bond (CYK), Harriet Venn (GGST) and Mara Tausan (MGS), who came 1st and 2nd in the Boys & Girls respectively. They have all progressed through to represent @aps_sport at the EMR Tennis Tournament in May.
 
Thank you to all staff including Paul McMahon (Convenor) and the SKC Groundsman – Michael and to @st_kevins for hosting the event
