Congrats to @aps_sport Rep & brighton.grammar Alumni Will Ashcroft (OB2021) named the 2024 🏅Norm Smith Medallist & a key player in the Brisbane Lions 2024 Premiership win! The clean and skilful midfielder produced a remarkable performance on the biggest stage to turbo-charge his career and legacy as a young star just 13 games since returning from an ACL injury. Will, who was supreme in the midfield with 30 disposals, five clearances and six inside 50s, was awarded the medal with 14 votes, ahead of co-captain Lachie Neale (8), with Callum Ah Chee (7) and Kai Lohmann (1) also receiving votes. Dealt with the devastation of missing a Grand Final last year due to an ACL, now wins the Norm Smith medal in just his 31st game and at 20 years of age the youngest ever recipient. Congrats to @aps_sport Rep and @caulfieldgs Jemma Potts, Yr 12, who recently represented Australia as part of the @waterpoloaus U18 Australian team in the @world_aquatics Women’s Water Polo Championships in Chendu, China. ⭐️ The Australian U18 team finished Top 5, defeating Italy in their final match 11–10. Jemma had an exceptional tournament, with multiple MVP honours and crucial goals. Jemma was named Player of the Match against the Netherlands, 👏🏼👏🏼 as well as most valuable player (MVP) in their final match against Italy! Congrats & good luck to @aps_sport Reps & Alumni playing for the @sydneyswans and @brisbanelions from the various #APS Schools (listed below) in the 2024 @afl Grand Final at the MCG tomorrow! It’s great to see so many former @aps_sport footballers not only participating on Grand final day but performing well throughout the season! Congrats to @melbournegrammarschool Firsts Water Polo team on winning the #APS Boys Water Polo🏆Premiership for 2024!! In an undefeated season, it’s the school's sixth #APS Water Polo Premiership and have gone #BacktoBack after winning the title last year (their previous premiership was in 2009).
